Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd is recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for Walton-on-Thames starting in September. The role spans support across both Primary and Secondary stages, with a 8:30am–3:30pm schedule, Monday to Friday in a growing specialist school.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, help them access learning, and collaborate with teachers and specialists to promote positive behaviour in a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN in a school setting (essential).
  • Experience with needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH or Moderate Learning Difficulties is highly desirable.
  • Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Training such as Team Teach, Thrive, Makaton, PECS or Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) would be advantageous.
  • Genuine passion for helping children and young people reach their full potential.

A welcoming and ambitious SEN school in Walton-on-Thames is expanding this September with the opening of its brand-new Primary provision, alongside its established Secondary school. They are looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team and support pupils across both phases.
