  • providing support and guidance to the students in their variety of learning needs and assistance with personal care / moving and handling with hoists.
  • A SEN Teaching Assistantwill have flexibility in handling sudden changes in routine or behaviour.
  • Delivering individualized support to children aged 4-19 years old on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
  • Building a strong and long-lasting relationship with students, enabling them to reach their full potential whilst having fun.

To be considered for the role of a SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Be flexible.
  • Experience in Teaching Assistant roles (Preferable).
  • Ideally have your own transport or close public transport links
  • Experience with both small group and 1:1 is beneficial
  • Friendly and nurturing qualities.
  • Familiarity with a range of needs (e.g., ASD - Autistic Spectrum Disorder, SLD - Severe Learning Difficulty and PMLD - Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulty).
  • Preferablymoving and handling training or have recent experience in this.
  • Have a patient and caring nature.
  • Have a desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • Willing to complete CPD training.
