Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistants for the 2025/2026 academic year. These roles are designed to support and nurture students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those facing challenges such as mental health difficulties, physical disabilities, or emotional and behavioural needs. A sensitive and supportive approach is vital in this position.
You will work with students aged 5 to 16, making a meaningful and lasting impact on their academic and personal development.
Role Overview:
• Start Date: September 2025
• Location: Bristol, Bath, and Gloucestershire
• Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (may vary slightly by school)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, term-time only
• Progression: Opportunities to transition into a permanent role for suitable candidates
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personalised support to students with SEN, either one-to-one or in small groups
• Work collaboratively with other teaching assistants to enhance student outcomes
• Support teachers in delivering a curriculum tailored to individual learning needs
• Assist with the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Build positive, trusting relationships to help students feel safe and confident
• Offer practical assistance with classwork and learning activities as required
What We're Looking For:
• Previous experience with SEN or challenging behaviour is helpful but not essential
• A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Adaptability and a student-centred approach
