Teaching Personnel is seeking motivated graduates for full-time Teaching Assistant roles supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges starting in September 2025. Teaching Personnel are recruiting passionate and motivated graduates to work as Teaching Assistants in SEN (Special Educational Needs) and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school settings this September.
(Warrington / Salford / Bolton / Wigan Areas)
Support pupils aged 5–19 with additional needs including autism, ADHD, anxiety, and behavioural challenges
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals
Help deliver tailored interventions and promote emotional regulation
Build positive relationships and support student development, both academically and personally
Opportunities available in specialist schools, sixth form provisions, and alternative education settings
A degree in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, Criminology, or a related field
A genuine interest in working with children and young people with SEN/SEMH needs
Strong communication, resilience, and a caring, consistent approach
Previous experience in care, youth work, tutoring, or schools (desirable but not essential)
Full-time roles starting in September 2025

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
