Job description

Protocol Education is seeking a compassionate and committed Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work with students who have diverse special educational needs across multiple schools in the Swindon area.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with various needs, including challenging behaviors, in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide 1:1 or small group support to help students access the curriculum.
2. Assist in delivering differentiated lessons and activities.
3. Support students' emotional and academic growth in a nurturing environment.
4. Manage challenging behaviors using positive strategies.
5. Collaborate with staff and professionals to implement EHCPs.
6. Promote social and personal development, fostering independence and confidence.

About You

We seek a nurturing, empathetic, and resilient individual passionate about supporting students with SEN. You should have a caring approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage challenging behaviors calmly. Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is required, along with knowledge of conditions like autism, ADHD, or dyslexia.
