We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and support students with a range of additional learning needs across the school.
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with students who require additional support to succeed academically and socially. You will play a key role in providing tailored support, ensuring students are fully included in classroom activities, and helping them build confidence and independence. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners in a supportive and dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with SEN, both in the classroom and during other school activities
Assist the class teacher in differentiating the curriculum to meet the needs of SEN students
Help students develop social, emotional, and academic skills
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents
Support students with behavioural challenges, ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Work as part of a team with other teaching assistants, teachers, and SENCOs to deliver high-quality learning support
Who We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable
A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to supporting students with additional needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A commitment to providing high-quality support to all students, helping them reach their full potential
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential
