TeacherActive is partnering with a primary special school in the B75 area of Sutton Coldfield, supporting around 130 pupils aged 4-11 with Education, Health and Care Plans. They seek an experienced Teaching Assistant for a long-term, ASAP start, to support pupils across the primary range with classroom and individual help, promoting communication, social skills and independence.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a primary special school in the B75 area of Sutton Coldfield supporting around 130 pupils aged 4-11, all of whom have an Education, Health and Care Plan. The school has a highly skilled and enthusiastic team who work closely with pupils and families to promote independence, communication, social skills and a love of learning.

The school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis with an ASAP start. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across the primary age range, providing classroom and individual support while helping children access learning and develop their communication, social skills and independence.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND
• Experience supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs
• Confidence working with primary-aged pupils
• Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
