Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is working with a primary specialist school in Sutton Coldfield to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a long-term, ASAP-start role. You will support pupils across the 4–11 age range, providing classroom and individual support to help children access learning.

The successful candidate will have SEND experience, confidence with primary-aged pupils, strong communication, and a patient, resilient approach. PAYE payroll and market-leading rates of pay are provided.

Salary: £95 - £115 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a primary special school in the B75 area of Sutton Coldfield supporting around 130 pupils aged 4-11, all of whom have an Education, Health and Care Plan. The school has a highly skilled and enthusiastic team who work closely with pupils and families to promote independence, communication, social skills and a love of learning.

The school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis with an ASAP start. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across the primary age range, providing classroom and individual support while helping children access learning and develop their communication, social skills and independence.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND

• Experience supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs

• Confidence working with primary-aged pupils

• Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
