Job summary

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Mansfield. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Assist in implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual learning programmes.
• Support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals.
• Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual pupil needs.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to teaching staff.
• Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
