Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Barnsley. You will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to support pupils with SEN and disabilities, providing one-to-one and small-group support.

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, parents and other professionals.
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies.

About the Role

We are seeking a caring, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Barnsley. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.

Experience

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, autism, ADHD, communication needs, behavioural needs or learning difficulties is desirable but not essential.
