SEN Teaching Assistant – Scarborough
Location: Scarborough
Salary: £90 – £95 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time, Ongoing

Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working with a warm and welcoming primary school in Scarborough to recruit a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with a range of special educational needs including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

The school prides itself on being a happy, inclusive setting where every child is celebrated and encouraged to flourish. You will be part of a supportive team who are passionate about providing the best possible care and education to children who need a little extra support to shine.

Your role will include:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support to pupils with additional needs

  • Helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment

  • Supporting pupils with personal care, communication and sensory needs

  • Working closely with teachers, therapists and families to meet individual learning goals

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Patient, kind and full of energy

  • Passionate about supporting children with SEN

  • Able to work collaboratively with staff and follow tailored learning plans

  • Experienced in a school or care setting (desirable but not essential – the right attitude is key!)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
