Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a teaching assistant with a real passion for helping children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will be qualified and experienced. Newly qualified Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants are welcome to apply.

Details:

• Location: Kirklees
• Position: Teaching Assistant
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Contract (long-term)
• Type: Full-time
• Pay: Minimum GBP 80 per day
• Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday (term time only)

Responsibilities:

• Support and scaffold children in the classroom
• Prepare resources with the teacher
• Work effectively in partnership with other professionals and parents/carers
• Adapt practice to support the varied needs of children

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

• At least Level 2 trained
• GCSE English and Maths grade C or above

Eligibility via Prospero Teaching:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references
