Job summary

Amarval Partners Ltd is seeking a Teaching Assistant - SEN to join a group of specialist SEN schools in Oxford and surrounding areas (Oxford, Kidlington, Headington, Summertown, Cowley, Iffley).

You will provide classroom, behavioural and targeted support to pupils with autism, SEMH needs and complex learning profiles within structured, nurturing environments. This hands-on role involves collaboration with therapists, teachers and specialists to help every child thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in SEN.
• Resilience and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
• Clear communication and teamwork with staff, pupils and families.

Responsibilities

• Classroom support — assisting pupils with learning, communication and engagement.
• Behaviour and pastoral support — helping maintain a calm, safe and structured environment.
• 1:1 or small-group work — supporting targeted interventions and personalised learning plans.
