Job summary

William Leech CofE Primary School in Lynemouth, Northumberland, is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with SEN on a day-to-day basis. You will work with individuals and small groups, delivering planned activities and providing personalised support to help pupils learn and develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The role is permanent, 32.5 hours per week during term time plus 5 additional days, with a Band 3 salary (£26,427–£26,847) pro rata (£20,029–£20,347).

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN).
  • Ability to differentiate and adapt learning activities for pupils with SEN.
  • Strong communication with families, carers and professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Implement planned learning activities and differentiation as agreed with class teacher.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress and attainment.
  • Collaborate with therapists and other staff to support pupil development.
