Job summary

An inclusive primary school in Lutterworth is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for two Year 3 pupils with varying needs. SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Lutterworth (LE17)
Pay: 395- 430 per week (take home, after tax and NI)
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term Contract
Hours: Monday to Friday, School Hours
Start Date: ASAP

Are you a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with SEMH, ASD, and speech and language needs?

We're working with a warm and inclusive primary school in Lutterworth (LE17) that is seeking a compassionate and confident SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for two pupils in Year 3. This full-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of two children who benefit from consistent, individualised support.

About the Role:

In the mornings, you'll work 1:1 with a child who has SEMH and attachment needs, helping them feel safe, regulated, and ready to learn.
In the afternoons, you'll provide 1:1 support to a second Year 3 child with ASD and limited speech, helping to facilitate communication, access to learning, and positive engagement.

You'll also be expected to deliver tailored maths and English interventions in line with the early Key Stage 2 curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support for two Year 3 pupils with varying needs
  • Use strategies to support SEMH, attachment, ASD, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Implement 1:1 interventions for English and maths using the KS2 curriculum.
  • Support emotional regulation and engagement throughout the school day.
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals.
  • Track progress and contribute to planning personalised strategies.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with ASD, SEMH, and speech and language needs.
  • Confidence delivering 1:1 and small group learning support.
  • Familiarity with the early Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Calm, nurturing, and patient with strong behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
