Job summary

Veritas Education is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for an Outstanding SEN School in Longridge. The role involves supporting students with special educational needs, in one-on-one or small group settings, to foster an inclusive classroom environment.

Salary is £14.24–£14.60 per hour. Start date is September, with hours 8:30am–3:30pm. Applicants should have DBS clearance and be eligible to work in the UK, with willingness to attend a registration interview.

Qualifications

• Experience with supporting students with SEN is desirable.
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum to support learners.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of students.
• Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback to the teaching staff.
• Be confident with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
• Have good knowledge of the National Curriculum to support students with their learning.
• An optimistic outlook and determination to make a difference to children's education.
• All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy.
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained.
