As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a broad range of additional needs, potentially including Autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD, speech and communication difficulties, and SEMH needs.
You will work closely with teachers and specialist staff, using pupils' EHCPs to understand individual needs, identify barriers to learning, and implement appropriate support strategies. Building strong relationships will be fundamental, providing pupils with the consistency and encouragement they need to develop confidence, communication, independence, and engagement with learning.
