Job summary

Exclusive Education is seeking a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to work across KS3 and KS4 at a secondary school in St Helens. The role is full-time, five days per week, starting ASAP on a long-term basis.

The ideal candidate will have TA experience, be confident with the KS3/KS4 curriculum, and have experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, including personal care as required. DBS up-to-date preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a teaching assistant in secondary education.
• Knowledge of KS3 and KS4 curricula and assessment frameworks.
• Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Willingness to provide personal care when required.
• Current DBS registered with the update service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support KS3/KS4 delivery and lesson objectives.
• Assist pupils with SEN to access activities and resources.
• Monitor pupil progress and report to supervising teachers.
• Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils during the day.

Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant Required

Salary/ Rate: 95- 110 per day

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint a TA to work across KS3 and KS4 at a secondary school in St Helens. This role is for 5 days per week, is to start ASAP on a long term basis.

The ideal candidate will have previous TA experience, will be confident undertaking work to the KS3 and KS4 curriculum. The candidate must also be experienced in providing personal care and have experience in supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;

• Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) (desirable but not essential)
• Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
• Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
• Excellent knowledge of the secondary curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Experience in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
• Previous KS3, 4 and 5 experience
• Two references working with children
• Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
