Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for a variety of opportunities across secondary schools in St Helens. You’ll work with students with diverse needs to enable access to learning and build independence.

Roles include one-to-one support, small-group work and assisting intervention programmes, with a focus on including students in class activities and promoting positive behaviour. Applications from graduates welcome.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Experience supporting SEND is advantageous.

  • Excellent communication skills.

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for a variety of opportunities across secondary schools in St Helens. With schools preparing for the new academic year, we are keen to hear from experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, SEN TAs and Behaviour Mentors, as well as graduates and candidates with transferable experience supporting young people.

Our partner schools may require support for students with a range of additional needs, including: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Other SEND needs.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and school support teams to help students access learning and develop greater independence.
