Job summary

Exclusive Education is seeking a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to work across KS3 and KS4 at a secondary school in St Helens. The role is full-time, five days a week, starting ASAP on a long-term basis.

The successful candidate will have TA experience, be confident with KS3/KS4, and able to provide personal care and support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs. DBS update service preferred.

Qualifications

• TA experience and ability to work to KS3/KS4 curriculum
• Experience in providing personal care and supporting pupils with SEN
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• DBS update service or willingness to apply for a new DBS
• Two references working with children
• Desirable TA qualification (NCFE/CACHE/NVQ1-3)

Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant Required

Salary/ Rate: 95- 110 per day

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint a TA to work across KS3 and KS4 at a secondary school in St Helens. This role is for 5 days per week, is to start ASAP on a long term basis.

The ideal candidate will have previous TA experience, will be confident undertaking work to the KS3 and KS4 curriculum. The candidate must also be experienced in providing personal care and have experience in supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;

• Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) (desirable but not essential)
• Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
• Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
• Excellent knowledge of the secondary curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Experience in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
• Previous KS3, 4 and 5 experience
• Two references working with children
• Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
