Job summary

Sprint Education Recruitment is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Lichfield, starting September 2026. You will provide one-to-one support for a pupil with additional learning needs, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to enable curriculum access, independence, and progress throughout the day.

The role offers ongoing development opportunities with a view to a permanent position for the right candidate, subject to school

This is a full time position beginning in September 2026 and continuing until July 2027, with the possibility of a permanent role for the successful applicant.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide one to one support for a pupil with additional learning needs throughout the school day. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support that enables the child to access the curriculum, develop independence, and make both academic and personal progress.

• Graduates and final year university students from all degree backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
• Previous experience working with children or supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs is beneficial but not essential.

Salary

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a school setting.
