Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a primary setting in Kinson. This full-time role runs during term time and starts in September.

You will provide personalised one-to-one support for a pupil with SEN, adapt activities, promote positive behaviour, and work with the teacher, SENCO and staff to implement plans.

The role offers competitive daily pay (£93-£110), weekly pay, and opportunities for CPD and longer-term roles within a supportive school community.

1:1 Teaching Assistant - Kinson

Full-Time | Term Time Only | September Start | £93-£110 per day

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential? Teaching Personnel is looking for a caring, patient and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join one of our lovely primary schools in Kinson from September.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child's school experience by providing personalised one-to-one support throughout the school day. You'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help the pupil access learning, build confidence, develop independence and thrive both academically and socially.

The Role
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Adapt learning activities to suit the child's individual needs and learning style.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and confidence.
  • Support the pupil both in the classroom and during break and lunchtime.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school staff to implement personalised support plans.
  • Record progress and contribute to strategies that help the pupil achieve their individual targets.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
  • Has previous experience supporting children with SEN, either in a school or a similar setting.
  • Is patient, nurturing and committed to helping every child succeed.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Has excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
  • Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, Childcare or equivalent qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Has experience in roles such as Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN Support Worker, Care Worker or Healthcare Assistant (all transferable experience will be considered).
