Job summary

Teach360 is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term role in Hounslow. The role involves 1:1 support for students with severe ASD, Complex Needs, and Down Syndrome, with duties including personal care and using PECs/Makaton.

Experience in a similar setting is essential and the start is ASAP. The school is an outstanding special needs college within an academy trust, serving learners aged 11–16 with complex needs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Support students on a 1:1 basis with severe ASD, Complex Needs, Down Syndrome.
• Provide personal care to students as required.
• Assist with PECs and Makaton as part of communication support.

The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant - Hounslow

We are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Special Needs College from as soon as possible. You will have at least 1 years' experience working with students on the Autistic Spectrum, Complex Needs and/or Down Syndrome and have experience helping with personal care. For this SEN Teaching Assistant role you will also ideally need previous experience using PECs and Makaton.
