Job summary

Teach360 is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a Special Needs College in Hounslow. You will support students on a 1:1 basis, including those with severe ASD, complex needs, and Down Syndrome, and assist with personal care.

The role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience; PECs and Makaton are desired. A long-term contract with ASAP start is offered in a supportive academy environment.

Qualifications

• SEN Teaching Assistant with at least 1 year experience working with students on the Autistic Spectrum, Complex Needs and/or Down Syndrome.
• Experience assisting with personal care for students.
• Team Teach/physical intervention training is desirable.
• PECs and Makaton experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support students on a 1:1 basis in a Special Needs School setting.
• Assist with personal care as required.
• Contribute to a calm, respectful learning environment and adapt activities to individual needs.

• ***SEN Teaching Assistant required to support students on a 1:1 basis with severe ASD, Complex Needs, Down Syndrome

The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant - Hounslow

We are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Special Needs College from as soon as possible. You will have at least 1 years' experience working with students on the Autistic Spectrum, Complex Needs and/or Down Syndrome and have experience helping with personal care. For this SEN Teaching Assistant role you will also ideally need previous experience using PECs and Makaton.
