Job summary

Remedy Education in Harlow is seeking a patient SEN Teaching Assistant to support children across primary and secondary classes within a well-resourced school.

You will work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who have SEN, ASD or ADHD, helping with communication, engagement and personal care as required. The role is full-time long-term, with ASAP start and potential to secure a permanent position.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach to supporting learners.
  • Confident across primary and secondary age groups.
  • Willing to support personal care where needed.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes
  • Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning
  • Following EHCP targets and individual support plans
  • Assisting with personal care where required
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
  • Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and social development

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN schools in Harlow that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible. This person will work in small groups or 1:1 with children who have a range of needs.
