Teach Plus are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Edgware to recruit several dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants on a full-time basis. The role involves providing support to pupils with additional needs, including 1:1 support and small-group work alongside the class teacher.

Candidates should be calm, patient and proactive, with experience or a genuine interest in Autism, ADHD, SEMH or other learning needs. Immediate start available for suitable applicants.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
  • Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH or other learning needs advantageous.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
  • Support pupils with their learning, communication and development
  • Assist pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour where required
  • Work alongside the class teacher to adapt activities and resources
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive relationships
  • Support pupils during lessons, transitions and less structured parts of the day
  • Follow individual support plans and school strategies
  • Maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work effectively with teachers and other support staff

SEN Teaching Assistant Start Date: ASAP Location: Edgware Full-time Salary: £108 - £115 per day, depending on experience

About the role and school

Teach Plus are currently working with a welcoming school in Edgware that is looking to appoint several dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team on a full-time basis.

The school is looking for caring, patient and proactive SEN Teaching Assistants who can provide effective support to pupils with additional needs.The role may involve 1:1 support, small-group work and supporting pupils within the classroom alongside the class teacher.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who wants to develop their experience within a supportive primary setting.Candidates with experience supporting Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH or other additional needs are encouraged to apply.
