Job summary

The Education Specialists are recruiting Teaching Assistants to support across SEN provisions in Salford and the surrounding Greater Manchester area. Roles are available on a full-time, long-term basis with temp-to-perm opportunities across multiple sites.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who have SEN, SEMH, ASD and ADHD, helping deliver tailored learning strategies and managing behaviours in supportive environments.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Teaching Assistants / Support Workers.
  • Graduates looking to enter education or psychology pathways.
  • Background in care / support work, youth work or behaviour mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD and complex needs.
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups.
  • Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation.
  • Help deliver tailored learning and intervention strategies.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.

The Education Specialists (TES) are working in partnership with a large, well-established SEN Multi Academy Trust in Salford to recruit a high volume of Teaching Assistants to support across their specialist provisions.


This is a fantastic opportunity to secure consistent, long-term work across multiple sites - with opportunities to go permanent.


About the Schools

You will be supporting across a network of specialist and inclusive provisions in Salford, including:



  • Dedicated SEN schools and alternative provisions

  • Primary, secondary and post-16 settings

  • A new specialist free school provision for pupils aged 11-16

  • Multi-site campuses supporting a wide range of needs across the borough

The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
