Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Cardiff is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with ALN and challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis in a busy school.

The ideal candidate will have Level 2/3 qualification or equivalent, be calm and patient, have good communication, and safeguarding knowledge. Enhanced DBS and references required.

We offer competitive daily rates (£85.50–£92.63), PAYE payroll, and ongoing consultant support.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or 3 qualification and/or 6 months’ experience in an educational establishment.
• Calm, patient and caring personality.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.

An outstanding school based in Cardiff have an opportunity arising for Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants. The role will entail working 1:1 with a child with challenging behaviour. ALN experience is required.

The ideal SEN TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant should have the following:

• Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months’ experience in an educational establishment
• A calm, patient and caring personal
• Good communication skills
• A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
• Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis

Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced Child DBS disclosure and provide at least 2 references.
