Job summary

TeacherActive in Cardiff is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. ALN experience is preferred and Level 2/3 qualifications are desirable. A DBS disclosure and two references are required.

You will work with a dedicated consultant, enjoy competitive PAYE rates, and join a team committed to rewarding and supportive placements in education.

Qualifications

An outstanding school based in Cardiff have an opportunity arising for Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants. The role will entail working 1:1 with a child with challenging behaviour. ALN experience is required.

The ideal SEN TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant should have the following:

• Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months’ experience in an educational establishment
• A calm, patient and caring personal
• A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
• Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis

Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced Child DBS disclosure and provide at least 2 references.
