Job summary

Monarch Education in the United Kingdom is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in a Bury primary school. Whether you prefer flexible supply work or longer placements, this role offers both options.

You will assist with 1:1 and small group support, help children engage with lessons and develop independence, and work with teachers and SENCOs to follow individual plans. A patient, reliable approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in a UK school or SEN setting.
• Patience, reliability and approachable manner are essential.
• Ability to adapt support to individual needs and follow teacher instructions.
• Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
• Help children engage with lessons and develop independence.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.

What we’re looking for

• Experience supporting children in a UK school or relevant SEN setting
• A patient, reliable and approachable manner
• Confidence adapting your support to individual needs
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, alongside relevant experience
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing
