Job summary

St Michael’s Easthampstead CE VA Primary School in Bracknell is seeking a teaching assistant to support pupils across KS1/KS2. The role is term-time, 32.08 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 8.30am–3.30pm) with some flexibility. Fixed-term until 31 August 2027, we offer a welcoming school ethos and supportive SENCO for wellbeing.

The right candidate will be nurturing, have strong behaviour management, safeguarding knowledge, and the ability to deliver prepared lessons to cover staff absence.

Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic, creative and passionate nature.
  • Positive behaviour management with a therapeutic approach.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to relate well with children and adults and communicate effectively.
  • Experience with children, ideally those with SEN.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality support and interventions for groups and individuals.
  • Develop positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
  • Be able to work with initiative and adapt to changing situations.
  • Cover staff absence by delivering prepared lessons.

We have an exciting opportunity for a teaching assistant to start work in our lovely school with flexibility around year groups (KS1/KS2).
