Job summary

Long Term Futures Ltd is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school's specialist resource base in Birmingham. The role focuses on consistent, long-term support for pupils with significant and complex learning needs, including sensory-based activities and increased adult involvement.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, supporting communication, sensory regulation and engagement, and assisting with targeted interventions such as speech and language activities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting primary-aged children with SEND.
  • Experience with complex learning needs, autism, communication needs or sensory needs is highly desirable.
  • A calm, patient and nurturing approach.
  • Confidence supporting pupils who require a highly personalised curriculum.
  • Commitment to a full-time, long-term position.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils within the school's specialist resource base.

Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Long Term Futures are recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to join the specialist resource base of an inclusive primary school in Birmingham.

The school provides dedicated specialist provision for pupils with significant and complex learning needs, including children who benefit from highly individualised learning, sensory-based activities and increased adult support.
