Reed Education is partnering with a specialist SEN school on the Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border to recruit a dedicated SEN Teacher. You will deliver high-quality, personalised lessons tailored to students aged 6 to 19 with complex needs, working with a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers a full-time, permanent contract with 40 hours per week and a salary range of £32,916 to £49,232 (M1-UPS2). The school values inclusive learning, therapy support, and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

  • PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (essential).
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Strong understanding of the Teacher Standards.
  • Experience or knowledge of SEN, especially sensory-led and complex-needs curriculums.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, tailored lessons that meet individual learning needs.
  • Foster an engaging, supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with therapists, class leaders and other professionals.
  • Contribute to curriculum development to ensure it meets diverse learner needs.
  • Lead and manage classroom support staff effectively.
  • Assess, track and report on pupil progress with accuracy and attention to detail.
