Job summary

Reed is seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist unit, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. You will deliver tailored, engaging learning experiences to help every child thrive, including those with autism, SEMH, SLCN, or complex learning difficulties.

You will plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons, support pupils' development, and work closely with teaching assistants and external agencies to review EHCP targets and personalise learning plans.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, resilience and a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Develop and review EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and specialist staff.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external agencies.
  • Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress to ensure the best outcomes.
