Qualifications

  • QTS, QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching children or young people with SEN, ASC and/or SEMH needs.
  • Flexible, creative and pupil-centred approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • The ability to thrive within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering a differentiated and personalised curriculum tailored to individual pupil needs.
  • Creating engaging and creative learning experiences that inspire confidence and achievement.
  • Supporting pupils with ASC, SEMH and additional learning needs to reach their full potential.
  • Working collaboratively with therapists, support staff and wider professionals to provide a holistic approach to education.
  • Monitoring, assessing and celebrating pupil progress through adaptive teaching strategies.
  • Creating a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe, valued and empowered.
