Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting SEN Teachers to support Birmingham schools starting September 2026. You will deliver engaging, personalised lessons for students with diverse SEND profiles and work with support staff to implement IEPs and EHCPs, promoting progress and wellbeing.

The role spans core and vocational subjects, with flexible patterns including part-time and full-time arrangements, and potential for long-term/permanent placement. A committed safeguarding ethos is essential.

Qualifications

• QTS with SEMH classroom experience.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour and support emotional regulation.
• Experience teaching students aged 11-16 with SEND.
• Flexible, resilient approach and safeguarding commitment.
• Ability to create a nurturing classroom where every student can thrive.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, personalised SEN lessons across various subjects.
• Collaborate with support staff and external professionals to implement IEPs and EHCPs.
• Support students to progress academically and emotionally.
• Promote positive learning outcomes and safeguarding across the school.
