Job summary

The Education Network is recruiting a Teacher to join a specialist SEND school in Birmingham for a September start. You will plan and deliver engaging, adapted lessons in a collaborative environment.

The role requires QTS and experience with primary, secondary or specialist education, plus a passion for SEND. You will work with Teaching Assistants and other specialists to support pupil development across communication, independence and confidence.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
  • Experience teaching in primary, secondary or specialist education.
  • Ability to plan engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a class of pupils within a specialist SEND setting.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated and personalised lessons.
  • Adapt the curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
  • Support pupils' academic, social, emotional and personal development.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other specialist professionals.
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP outcomes.
  • Create a positive, structured and engaging learning environment.
  • Promote independence, communication and confidence.
