Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled SEN Teacher to support pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities, severe learning difficulties and complex medical or sensory needs within a specialist SEN setting.

Hours are full-time, Monday to Friday, term-time only. ECTs are welcome to apply and you will lead a class with a personalised curriculum focusing on communication, sensory development and life skills.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching pupils with complex SEND.
• Proficient in sensory and communication-based learning approaches.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Placements subject to safeguarding screening and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver highly personalised learning experiences
• Support pupils with PMLD, severe learning difficulties and complex needs
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams
• Incorporate sensory learning into daily teaching
• Contribute to learning programmes linked to EHCP outcomes
• Support communication development and engagement
• Lead and direct support staff effectively
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment
