Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to support pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities in a specialist setting. You will deliver a personalised curriculum focused on communication, sensory development, life skills and meaningful engagement.

You will work with a team of Teaching Assistants, therapists and healthcare professionals to ensure every pupil accesses learning opportunities tailored to their needs. ECTs are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching pupils with complex SEND.
• Understanding of sensory and communication-based learning.
• Comfortable working with personal care and medical support teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver highly personalised learning experiences for pupils with PMLD and complex needs.
• Support pupils with PMLD, severe learning difficulties and complex needs.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (therapists, healthcare staff, assistants).
• Incorporate sensory learning into daily teaching.
• Contribute to learning programmes linked to EHCP outcomes.
• Support communication development and engagement.
• Lead and direct support staff effectively.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
