Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a compassionate SEN Teacher to support pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities in a specialist SEN setting. This role is full time, Monday to Friday, term time only, with pay up to £240 per day depending on experience.

You will lead a class of pupils with highly complex needs, delivering a personalised curriculum focusing on communication, sensory development, life skills and meaningful engagement.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience teaching pupils with complex SEND is essential.
• Understanding of sensory and communication-based learning is important.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver highly personalised learning experiences for pupils with PMLD and complex needs.
• Support pupils with PMLD, severe learning difficulties and complex needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists and healthcare professionals.
• Incorporate sensory learning into daily teaching to promote engagement.
• Contribute to learning programmes linked to EHCP outcomes.
• Support communication development and engagement.
• Lead and direct support staff effectively.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
