Job summary

The Buckingham School in Buckingham is seeking a Specialist SEND Teacher to join our growing provision. This permanent, full-time post will work with students with cognition and learning needs, delivering engaging, personalised teaching and helping all pupils to realise their potential.

You will join a founding team, contribute to curriculum development, and work with Teaching Assistants to implement interventions.

Responsibilities

• Work with students with cognition and learning needs to create engaging, personalised learning experiences that spark curiosity and build confidence.
• Recognise each student’s strengths, celebrate progress, and adapt teaching to support meaningful progress inside and beyond the classroom.
• Contribute to shaping a new specialist provision within a mainstream school and influence the curriculum and school culture.
• Collaborate with an immediate team of Teaching Assistants to support learning and interventions.
• Support development of policies for attendance, achievement and behaviour in line with a specialist provision.
