Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a SEN Teacher in Buckingham for a Full-time, temporary to permanent role starting November 2026. Salary ranges from £29,344 to £44,919 (MPS/UPS).

You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons for students with SEN in an inclusive setting, ensuring wellbeing and personalised support while collaborating with the school team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience working with SEN students is highly desirable.
• Enhanced DBS check and professional references required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to meet a range of SEN needs.
• Support students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
• Develop and implement IEPs and personalised learning strategies.
• Create a safe, structured, inclusive classroom environment.
• Use varied teaching approaches to meet individual learning styles.
• Monitor, assess, and track student progress; adapt strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals.
• Communicate progress and wellbeing updates to parents and carers.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet a range of special educational needs.
• Support students with a variety of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.
• Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and emotional wellbeing.
• Use a range of teaching approaches to engage students and support their individual learning styles.
• Monitor, assess, and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals to support student development.
• Promote positive behaviour and support students in developing social and emotional skills.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on progress and wellbeing.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience working with SEN students is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of a range of special educational needs and effective support strategies.
• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Commitment to inclusive education and ongoing professional development.
• Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check and professional references.
