Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an experienced SEN English Teacher for an SEN secondary school in Epping. You will deliver engaging English lessons to pupils aged 11–18 with diverse needs, adapting content to individual requirements and supporting progress.

You will join a collaborative team, manage behaviour, and contribute to a structured learning environment while working with therapists and support staff. Immediate interviews available with potential long-term placement.

Qualifications

• Requires QTS and SEN experience.
• Experience with secondary SEN settings preferred.
• Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible English lessons tailored to SEN needs.
• Teach pupils aged 11–18 in an SEN setting.
• Adapt curriculum content for wide ranges of abilities and needs.
• Create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
• Collaborate with SEN support staff, therapists and school teams.
• Monitor, assess and report pupil progress per school expectations.
• Support positive behaviour management across the classroom.
