Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher for immediate start in Epping, covering primary and secondary SEN settings. The role supports children with diverse needs and EHCP targets, delivering engaging lessons and building confidence.

You will join supportive schools offering long-term placements with potential for permanent appointment, ongoing professional development, and a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• PGCE or equivalent training.
• Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary or secondary).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
• Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
