Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking SEN Teachers to join Essex schools (primary/secondary/SEN) with immediate start. Long-term placements and potential permanent roles are available in supportive, well-resourced environments.

We seek dedicated professionals with QTS or equivalent, PGCE or training, and a strong SEN background. You will plan engaging lessons, adapt content for diverse needs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support pupil progress.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
• PGCE or equivalent training.
• Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary or secondary).
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• Commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
• Use strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
• Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom.

We are working with a range of SEN schools in Essex (primary and secondary settings) who are looking for dedicated SEN Teachers to join their teams immediately.
