Job summary

Polaris Education - Martha H School in Wigan, Lancashire, is seeking a SEN Teacher for a full-time, term-time contract. You will plan and deliver lessons for KS3 pupils with ASC and SEMH needs, aligned to the National Curriculum.

The role offers a supportive team, DBS checks covered, and opportunities for professional development within the Polaris Community of SEN schools across the UK.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS and have experience teaching KS3 in secondary education.
• Experience with pupils with SEND in an educational setting.
• Strong behaviour management and willingness to develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the National Curriculum for KS3 with ASC & SEMH needs.
• Support the class team in facilitating learning and promoting positive behaviours.
• Report on pupils' progress and liaise with staff to meet pupils' needs.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including trips and activities.
• Build positive relationships to drive learning outcomes.
