Job summary

Polaris Education is recruiting a SEN Teacher for Martha H School in Wigan, Lancashire. The role is full-time term-time only, 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of £28,000–£39,520 depending on experience.

The successful applicant will plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the National Curriculum, supporting pupils with ASC & SEMH needs. Holding QTS and prior SEND teaching experience are essential, with a commitment to professional development.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous successful teaching experience.
• Some experience of working with pupils with SEND.
• Experience of behaviour management and techniques.
• Committed to professional development and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the National Curriculum for pupils with ASC & SEMH needs.
• Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviours.
• Report on pupils’ progress and liaise with school staff to meet needs.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time and school trips.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to drive learning outcomes.
