Polaris Education - Martha H School in Wigan, Lancashire, is seeking a SEN Teacher for a full-time, term-time contract. You will plan and deliver lessons for KS3 pupils with ASC and SEMH needs, aligned to the National Curriculum.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold QTS and have experience teaching KS3 in secondary education.
• Experience with pupils with SEND in an educational setting.

Aufgaben

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the National Curriculum for KS3 with ASC & SEMH needs.
• Support the class team in facilitating learning and promoting positive behaviours.
• Report on pupils' progress and liaise with staff to meet pupils' needs.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including trips and activities.
• Build positive relationships to drive learning outcomes.

Role Responsibilities

• Responsible for the planning and delivery of high-quality lessons within the National Curriculum whilst meeting the complex ASC & SEMH needs of all pupils
• Supporting the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviours
• Reporting on pupils' progress and concerns, and liaising with other school staff to ensure pupils' needs are met
• Supervision of pupils during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips
• Building positive relationships with pupils and driving interaction and positive learning outcomes

Requirements

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Secondary qualification and experience teaching KS3
• Previous successful teaching experience
• Some previous experience of working with pupils with SEND within an educational setting
• Experience of behaviour management and techniques
• Committed to professional development and willing to learn
