Job summary

Ams UK is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to plan and deliver high-quality, personalised learning for pupils with complex needs. You will collaborate with the SEN team, support staff and families to help pupils progress, gain independence and reach their individual potential.

We value compassion, patience and commitment to inclusive education, safeguarding, and EHCP outcomes. Experience with visual supports and differentiated approaches is welcomed.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with teaching experience.
  • Experience working with children with SEND is desirable.
  • Good understanding of the individual needs of pupils with complex SEND.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods, resources and activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Experience or willingness to use visual supports and differentiated approaches.
  • Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
  • Calm, patient and positive approach when supporting pupils.
  • Commitment to inclusive education, safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with the wider SEN team and follow EHCP outcomes and support plans.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, personalised teaching and learning for pupils with complex needs.
  • Work closely with the SEN team, support staff and families to help pupils progress and develop independence.
  • Support pupil wellbeing and promote inclusive education.
