Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting an experienced SEN Teacher to work in a specialist provision supporting pupils with autism and anxiety-related needs. This full-time role is term-time only, with pay up to £240 per day, dependent on experience.

ECTs are welcome to apply. You will plan and deliver personalised learning, supporting pupils to re-engage with education and achieve EHCP outcomes within a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience teaching pupils with autism and/or SEND is essential.
• Strong understanding of emotionally based school avoidance and anxiety.
• Patient, resilient and relationship-focused approach; ability to adapt learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
• Support pupils with autism, anxiety and associated SEND.
• Develop strategies to improve engagement, attendance and participation.
• Create a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Support pupils to achieve EHCP outcomes.
• Work closely with support staff, therapists and families.
• Promote independence, resilience and confidence.
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
